O: beardless, diademed hd r. (portrait appears similar to that of Antiochus IX from Tarsus cf. SC 2354).
R: unadorned Tripod with blundered legends to right (two rows) and left (also two rows) and in ex.
cf. the following link http://www.forumancientcoins.com/catalog/roman-and-greek-coins.asp?param=24565q00.jpg&vpar=85&zpg=23566&fld=http://www.forumancientcoins.com/Coins/ for a similar example that is about half the weight but is the same generally in appearance as well as epigraphy.
Note: The reverse bares a resemblance also to Autonomous Antiochene bronzes of the type Sear illustrated as SG 5854 (BMC 20.153,19) from SE 225 (BCE 88/7) as well as Seleucid types, and the Antiochene could well be modeled after the Seleucid types. I would disagree with the placement of these as early as the 3rd cent. BCE and think that they can be confidently placed in the 1st century BCE despite the prevalence of the official type for some time prior.
